MTC Bio’s reversible magnetic separation rack is ideal for low throughput bead-based nucleic acid purification. Double-sided magnets combined with an innovative flip-design allow for bead separation in 8 x 1.5/2.0mL microtubes, or 16 x 0.2mL PCR tubes, all while maintaining an exceptionally compact footprint (3.75 × 1.75 × 1.5in.).
The ultra-strong magnets feature a Pull Strength of 5000g and Field Strength of more than 5000 gauss for fast separation. Tube wells are angled on a 10° pitch for optimal tube contact with magnets, and microtube wells are equipped with an adapter ring for precision control over the height of the tube exposed to the magnetic field. The magnets are housed in a removable casing that enables quick resuspension without removing tubes from the rack.
